DHT & Its Role In Hair Loss

Hair loss is a problem which many men will encounter at some stage in their lives. The causes of hair loss are varied, but research has shown that one major factor is the presence of DHT on the scalp. Fortunately there are a range of products specifically created to deal with hair loss problems caused by DHT.

Amongst the things blamed for unwanted hair loss are stress, hormonal problems, acne and other skin complaints, hereditary factors, poor diet and DHT build up. The effects of DHT are to blame for up to 95% of all hair loss problems.

DHT is created by the body when it is metabolised by an enzyme called 5 Alpha Reductase. DHT attaches to hair follicles and the dermal papilla where has a number of negative effects. DHT causes hair follicles to shrink in size which leads to the weakening and loss of hair. It also prevents the vital nutrients such as proteins, vitamins and minerals, needed for hair growth, from being absorbed. In addition to this, DHT tends to build up on the scalp and hair roots which creates a wax like substance on the hair.

To counteract the effects of DHT on hair loss, a number of products have been developed. DHT Hair treatment products work by helping to remove DHT from the hair DHT Hair lossand scalp and prevent further hair loss. DHT Hair products also help to keep the scalp in optimum condition for new hair growth. DHT Blockers come in the form of shampoos, topical lotions, gels and serums which are applied directly to the scalp. The shampoo gently cleanses away build up of DHT and residues left by other products and pollution etc. Supplying nutrients to the hair, it leaves your scalp feeling fresh and your hair revitalised. Manufacturers of DHT Hair products understand that fine and thinning hair needs special treatment to look its best, so they include volumizing ingredients to give extra body and life to your hair. The various DHT Hair conditioning and styling products allow you to add further nutrients to your hair, and style it just how you like it.

There are various different DHT Hair brands available to choose from

Many of these are available to purchase online, and are delivered in plain packaging, which is great for anyone who feels sensitive or uncomfortable with their hair loss problem. Thicker, fuller feeling hair can usually be seen within 4/6 weeks of using DHT Hair products although this does vary depending on the brand you choose. Remember that the less advanced your hair loss problem, the better the products will function, so it is worthwhile acting quickly when you first notice your hair loss.

To supplement the use of DHT Hair treatments, you can add a vitamin supplement designed to help boost hair health. A diet rich in amino acids (the building blocks of proteins) can also help as these are important in the production of all new cells. For best results with DHT Hair treatments, remember to respect your hair – always use gentle styling methods and avoid heat and chemical treatments which can be weakening and damaging.
